Speaker Details

Kevin Tinn

Born in East Tennessee, I got my start in the industry working for the family computer business building boxes, installing network cabling, and all sorts of other third-party support. During this time I completed my Computer Science degree at East Tennessee State University, and transitioned into software development at Eastman Chemical Company. In 2014 I moved to St Louis and took a job as a Senior Software Engineer at Asynchrony, which was shortly thereafter acquired by World Wide Technology (WWT). During this time I served as a Team Lead to internal Agile Software Delivery teams, as well as an Extreme Programming practice coach to external customers. In 2017 I moved to Denver and took a position at WWT as a Cloud Application Architect Practice Lead, and helped WWT reboot its Multicloud Consulting Group. Along the way I have worked extensively in both .NET and the JVM to create back-end solutions (Namely using C#, Scala, and VB .NET), and various JavaScript frameworks across front-end solutions. From a cloud perspective, I specialize in AWS and Azure. I am also very passionate about evolving event driven microservice architectures utilizing streaming technologies such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and Azure Event Hubs. Finally, I am co-organizer of the AWS Meetup Group. The group is based in Denver, but presents nationwide on a monthly cadence.
