We are making several changes to our program for 2019 in order to make this the best year ever. A big set of those changes are to our keynotes. Due to logistical reasons and to provide you with even more content throughout the day; Code PaLOUsa 2019 will only have one keynote – but we have found a great speaker to present a very important topic.

We all know that accessibility is important, but how many of us really know what it really takes to make your applications accessible? Do you feel overwhelmed when it comes to accessibility? Well, Gianugo Rabellino will be our keynote and his presentation is entitled Demystifying Accessibility. Regardless of your role in application development, this is a can’t miss presentation where you will learn how to build better applications that serve a much bigger population.

Just how is Gianugo Rabellino, well he is none other than the Director of Accessibility for the Cloud and Artificial Intelligence division at Microsoft. He oversees accessibility efforts across 500 different projects, ensuring they all meet and exceed expectations for users of all abilities.

Oh, and another big announcement. This year’s keynote will be Wednesday, August 21 at Actor’s Theater with a reception starting at 5:00 pm and the keynote starting at 6:00 pm. For those not from Louisville, Actor’s Theater is a world-renowned theater best known for its Humana Festival of New American Plays. This will be such an awesome venue for our keynote and is located a couple of blocks from the Hyatt Regency Louisville (the host venue for Code PaLOUsa 2019).

So, have you registered for Code PaLOUsa 2019 yet? If not register now so you can be a part of this great keynote and everything else included at Code PaLOUsa.
